Carp fishing in France has never been more popular and the Étang Caché, our Hidden Lake is a real gem.
Once you’ve fished with us – you’ll want to come again.

THE LAKE

This private, four-and-a-half acre ancient water is over 250 years old and holds carp in excess of 50lbs. The fishing is truly superb. About 100 carp are swimming around: a very good head of forties and thirties including 3 grass carp.

The lake water is coloured, the bed is a mixture of silt and gravel with no weed, depth ranges from 13 feet to shallows.

There are no bream, poisson chat or cats – but there is a good head of roach and rudd, so you can fill in your time fishing for them!

If you fly, we will provide all your tackle but feel free to bring your own reels and alarms.

Drive-and-survive or airport pick up, the choice is yours.

WHERE ARE WE?

Set in secluded woodland in the Dordogne, the Étang Caché is about fifty minutes drive south of Limoges airport, or 8 hours drive from Boulogne/Calais.

The area is famous for good food and wine: trust us, we have tried it all and will be happy to pass on our knowledge. Getting here couldn’t be easier.

Driving, the route south is easy, If you are flying, both Ryanair and Flybe depart from various airports in the UK and land at Limoges.

This part of France is truly rural. As you fish the sound of a tractor is all you will hear above the wildlife and the odd cry of delight from a bloke in camo!
